Cheesy The details are beginning to trickle in on our first annual winter driving school (and good time festival).  If you're familiar with our Safety School or Street Survival  schools, imagine adding snow and ice to the mix and you'll have a good idea what the WinterFest is all about.  Registration is now open at www.motorsportreg.com

Here are the basic stats:

Date: 2/19/2010 arrival,  2/20/2010 event
Time: 8 am - 5 pm

Limit: 45

Price: Safety school $55.00
Saturday night dinner $20.00
Total $75.00

Lodging:
Leelannau Sands Casino
Great Wolf Lodge

Dinner on Saturday at the Eagles Ridge Restaurant

Well you asked for it... and the board of directors for our club has pulled together a " Winter driving safety school "in the great white north..20 miles north Traverse City to be exact off of the spectacular M-22 highway on Feb 20th 2010 at the Leelanau Sands Casino parking lot "G" from 8:00am to 5:00pm with an awards dinner to follow as part of your sign up. go to "http://motorsortreg.com" and get signed up today ...space is limited and will fill fast as a guess. If you want to help out "GREAT" sign up as such. this will cost you nothing but your time and stay over...you may be in alignment for an award as a helper...courtesy of http://contractorsyoucantrust.com" and "http://proimagedesign.com
This is an exciting event for the Motor City BMW Club and we are looking forward to serving you up a great time at a great time of the year. Cheers

Here are some sponsors of our awesome event coming up: WINTER FEST 2010 in Traverse City on February 20th

work with these folks as often as you can as they are genuinely interested in making your event be GREAT

Well it looks like the down south of Me folks will be getting the blunt end of a ICE storm...To bad our club Safety school wasn't sooner !

We have some exciting goodies for the safety school developing right now well in advance to entice all of you on the fence about the school.

However I see it is filling up fast we had 6 sign ups just yesterday... if I remember correctly we have all our volunteers ready to go as well

We do need instructors...it's free for you guys... yes you do need to make the trek... think about it ..this will be a great week end.

Anyone else here interested in going???

I like ice events.  There is no wear and tear, and you learn some important skills in a winter driving class.  Its a little easier when things are in S-L-O-W  M-O-T-I-O-N.

I would like to... But a few questions first!

1. How about using my old RFT's?
2. Can non members register? My step brother would like to do this also. (still riding him to join the CCA)

Actually we will both be on used up all seasons... should be interesting!

I forgot to ask another question! Step brother will be driving a NON BMW! (Saturn ION) I am working on that also! The wife will be joining me but not driving. Do I need to sign her up thru motorsportreg which would be expensive for dinner... Or can we purchase the dinner separate?

No problem on the car.  And I think you can sign your wife up for dinner alone (right Bob?)

Hello WinterFest planners!
Is there a special room rate at either of the hotels listed for those of us attending WinterFest?
Thanks and looking forward to a very fun time,
Jennifer

Yes there is.  At least there should be.  Mention the BMW car club when you make your reservations...
